If you’re reading this post, then congratulations! Chances are you’re the recent recipient (or giver) of a sparkly ring, and you’re embarking on your wedding planning. How exciting! You're feeling raring to go, but maybe also a bit overwhelmed. Where to start? The advice out there in wedding world – in the magazines and on the blogs – is to get your date set and your venue booked before anything else, and we couldn’t agree more. However, if you’re reading those blogs and magazines, you might be feeling the fear about their suggested timelines. The advice you’ll see tends to suggest 12-18 months to plan your wedding, but if you’re newly engaged and wanting to say I do before the end of 2018, never fear. We have several weekends still available for 2018 weddings, and here are just a few reasons why a Penton Park wedding makes the planning process easy. THE SPACE We love this house, deeply. We’ve spent years meticulously restoring it so that our ceremony and reception spaces are back at their elegant best. From the sweeping staircase to the light-filled sitting room, snug bar and spectacular ballroom, each space is filled with period features, tasteful furnishings and windows looking out over our lawns and paddock. The rooms are beautifully finished and in no need of zhuzhing (technical term!). If you’re looking for refined elegance with a whole lot of history, we have it in spades. THE SEASONS Penton Park is a venue for all weathers. Our glass atria and huge bay windows keep us flooded with natural light in summer, and we pride ourselves on our first-class fireplaces, capable of cosying up even the biggest rooms in the winter months. THE CONNECTIONS Over the last five years we have worked with a range of local and national suppliers at our weddings. We’re thrilled to be able to offer a list of preferred caterers who guarantee creative, delicious food and wonderful service, and we can advise you on other talented people to contact to help bring your vision to life. THE SERVICE Penton Park is our home, and we’d love to share it with you. We promise you the warmest of welcomes as you enjoy your special day with us. We only take on a maximum of 20 weddings per year, which gives us the chance to really get to know each of our couples. The first wedding we celebrated here was our own, and we get such a buzz helping others to start their happily ever afters here. While it might feel like a leap of faith to commit to planning a wedding with less than a year to go, we assure you that with a venue like Penton Park in your camp it’s totally doable. We only have a limited number of available dates left for this year – make sure your wedding snaps up one of them.
