Styled shoots are a fantastic way for wedding industry suppliers to let loose with their creativity. Stylists, photographers, florists and a host of others put together beautiful looks that will really wow potential couples, and show brides and grooms to be what’s possible. We’re always delighted to be approached for a styled shoot, and it’s been amazing watching from the sidelines as Penton Park transforms under the gaze of different talented stylists and creative directors. One of my favourite styled shoots from earlier this year was created by Edmina from Aleeka Events. It was shot by Philippa Sian Photography – whose ability to capture light is truly special, and is a perfect fit for our huge bay windows and sunlit rooms – and these images have made me so, so happy. The brief for the shoot was contemporary elegance in an unashamedly countryside location. Edmina and her team chose a pastel colour palette of creams, pale pinks and lilacs, which contrasted brilliantly with sharp and modern gold accents. Our beautifully restored Victorian drawing room was given a contemporary edge with the clean lines and fresh styling of the tablescape. It was a definite juxtaposition of antique elegance and modern style, and it worked so well. The flowers for this shoot were some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Michelle Buabin created a gorgeously sculptural and fragrant bouquet and centrepiece with blossom and orchids. Watching the tablescape come to life filled me with admiration for all the suppliers involved. I am all about organisation, and I know my strengths lie in spreadsheets, timescales and keeping really rather a lot of plates spinning at once. I’m therefore a little bit in awe of those who can create magic with their hands. To the florists, cake makers, jewellers, dress designers, photographers, stationers and stylists out there, I salute you! I love that Edmina and the team used the grounds for part of the shoot here. I’m really proud of our outside space, and this gorgeously long, hot summer is making for some wonderful outdoor drinks receptions, and dancing under the stars. My office looks out over the lawns, and popping my head up from my computer to see the gorgeous models walking among the trees as Philippa snapped away was fabulous. A full list of suppliers for the shoot is below. If you like what you see here and want to get a fuller picture of the house, and how Penton Park could look on your own wedding day, get in touch. We’re thrilled to have been voted one of the best 30 places to get married in the UK by the Evening Standard, and would love to show you around our exclusive country house venue.
