25/6/2019 1 Comment Congratulations to Anna and Alex!
What a wonderful day welcoming the most international of guests to our beautiful Hampshire wedding venue. Anna and Alex first made contact last year from Vietnam where they live, they then sent Alex's lovely parents over for a viewing... Following on from then we arranged a skype call so that they could electronically view the venue and chat through all of their plans. We absolutely love helping our couples plan their perfect day and modern technology can ensure this can be done seamlessly even with time-zones to consider.
Mia Hooper, one of our recommended suppliers was chosen as the Photographer for Alex and Anna's wedding and as ever she has stunningly captured the day, which was full of so much love and emotion!
Alex and Anna had guests flying in from all corners of the globe to celebrate their wedding, including a large contingent from Canada, where Anna is originally from. Many enjoyed a Hampshire break at the same time and made good use of our local accommodation options. They also enjoyed fabulous dining at both The Hawk and The Lion, where they held an Ushers lunch on the Saturday, and a family dinner on the Friday evening with all of their Canadian guests, really treating them to some superb Hampshire fare!
Anna and Alex originally had planned for an outdoor ceremony under our Gazebo and whilst the sun came out it was a little too late from the rather windy and rainy morning. However, we had extensively considered and planned a wet weather option which was put in place on the morning of the wedding, and it has to be said it was every bit as special as had it been under the Gazebo.
After the ceremony there was time for guests to enjoy the grounds and Mia made full use of the improved weather to take Alex and Anna for a wonder around the woodlands. We love these stunning images with the grounds covered in meadow flowers and the trees basking in the sun that had made an appearance.
It was fabulous seeing all of Alex and Anna's bespoke ideas, to embrace all of their different cultures, brought to life. From the Vietnamese lanterns hanging in the trees, oriental figurines on the cheese cake, to the relaxed bowl food dining style that would be enjoyed in Canada. There were so many beautiful touches throughout!
Have a wonderful honeymoon, and as ever, for all of our lovely couples please do stay in touch! If you would like to read more about this wedding you can visit the full blog by Mia Hooper by clickinghere
