Summer season comes to a close with Gemma and Michaels wonderful day

At 3pm on Saturday 3rd August the newly married Mr and Mrs Spencer arrived here at Penton Park, having married at a local village church.  Arriving in style they had two gorgeous classic cars courtesy of Christophers.  The clouds promptly parted and the day was spent outside enjoying all that the house and grounds have to offer.

Gemma and Michael had a truly family friendly day, with guests of all ages, and many of them rather young!  To ensure maximum relaxation for the parents Gemma and Michael enlisted the help of The Wedding Crecherz who put on the most fabulous childrens playtent, created impromptu sports days, and even took care of overseeing lunchtime!

Many months ago upon booking Penton Park, Gemma had expressed how important it was to provide her own caterer, Rhubarb and Ginger, who she had worked for in the past.  Gemma specifically had dreamed of their signature roast being served for her Wedding Breakfast, and as with all of our couples we did all we could to accommodate her bespoke request.

Rhubarb and Ginger were wonderful partners and great to work with, they also put on the most wonderful canapes, including our particular favourite, mini burgers and mini beers, courtesy of The Penton Park Brewery!

Throughout the house Gemma and Michael had decorated with their own items, but for us one of the most wonderful sights was a collection of special games laid out in the Snooker Room, that Gemma played with her grandmother.

As the evening drew to a close the dancefloor was much enjoyed, along with the adult chill out bell tent that Gemma and Michael had put up in the garden.
